I’ve just discovered today this Thursday Thirteen meme. Being a beginning blogger, I’m a little unsure that I’m doing this correctly, but here goes:

   A person who talks when you wish him to listen.

   A statement or belief manifestly inconsistent with one’s own opinion.
3. Apologize, v.i.
   To lay the foundation for a future offence.
4. Egotist, n.
   A person of low taste, more interested in himself than me.
5. Friendship, n.
   A ship big enough to carry two in fair weather, but only one in foul.
6. Longevity, n.
   Uncommon extension of the fear of death.
7. Meekness, n.
   Uncommon patience in planning a revenge that is worthwhile.
8. Misfortune, n.
   The kind of fortune that never misses.
9. Neighbor, n.
   One whom we are commanded to love as ourselves, and who does all he knows how to make us disobedient.
10. Opportunity, n.
    A favorable occasion for grasping a disappointment.
11. Positive, adj.
    Mistake at the top of one’s voice.
12. Prevaricator, n.
    A liar in caterpillar state.
13. Self-evident, adj.
    Evident to one’s self and to nobody else
