That’s my Momma & Daddy in about 1942. My fondest memory of them is seeing them dancing in the kitchen together. Dancing With The Stars had nothing my parents. My son says the picture makes him as happy as the one of the sailor kissing the girl in Time Magazin to celebrate the end of the war.
Thanks for stopping by!

I LOVE IT! They always look like they were having so much fun but it also looks like it took a lot of stamina!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

That is just fabulous. I adore old photos. Looks like life was a dance for them! We could all use some of that.

Since you asked…we were at a “new to me” mall away from home and I saw these in a store window. Since I always have my camera, I couldn’t resist.

Thanks for stopping by My Photo Blog.

Great Photo – makes you grin. I agree with your son it does make you feel happy. Happy first day of Spring!
Are they still bopping around?

Robyn, no. Mom and Dad aren’t around anymore, but my sibs and I keep them alive in our stories. This photo got turned into a poster and hangs in my living room to make me smile every day.
I didn’t even realize it’s the first day of spring!

That is so cool! Look at the trust the woman has in the man! She’s virually sitting down with only a few fingers connecting her.

It’s a shame our dances aren’t this simple, or stylish, anymore.

That is an awesome picture and worth making into a poster. What a wonderful way to remember your parents.

I think I may do the wordless Wednesday next week, I did get to do some pictures for my day in a life.

Gotta get working on my Thursday list….did you get some more weeding done today? Check out my picture for today, there’s some weeding that I missed in the fall!

How wonderful and flattering that Shelly actually thought of her parents and that flawless photograph when she saw me dance. Shelly, I hope this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship! I hope everyone that reads this will go to youtube.com and type in: Aguilera Candyman and watch the best tribute to the 40′s that I have ever seen. Christina ACTUALLY pays tribute to the “never been topped” ANDREWS SISTERS. Without Patty, Maxene, and LaVerne, we would have lost the war!!! Keep dancing everybody !!
