Tomorrow, I’m observing the One Day Blog Silence. Not just for the victims of the Virginia Tech massacre, but for all victims of violence, anger, hatred, hunger, disease, and heartache. Before I silence myself, I thought I’d add a few notes:
My friend Teamouse (Sweet Tea, as I call her…because I like sweetea, and I like her) had a great Thursday Thirteen this week, and I totally missed it. She had posted another post on top of it, and I didn’t scroll down (OK, I’m not dumb, I wasn’t feeling well). If you missed it, go read her Goof Ups. Numbers eight and ten blew my dress up.
Speaking of which, This Eclectic Life’s This Blog Blows My Dress Up Contest has 18 entries. You can read them here and you can also read the rules for the contest. If you have three funny posts, send them on to me. The deadline is May 3rd.
I’ll meet you back here on Tuesday.

My sweet husband is not a blogger, and is sometimes mystified by the abbreviations used. This morning I vacated my seat at the computer for a few moments, and he took the opportunity to sit before the monitor. He doesn’t get that chance very often anymore.
I had left a blog post on the screen in which a blogger referred to her “DH.” When I came back in the room, my spousal unit was scratching his head in wonder.
“DH,” he said. “She doesn’t mean ‘Designated Hitter,’ does she?”
I sincerely hope not.
