Hi Shelly,

You were the fist person to vist my blog and leave a comment (flutters eyelids) and that was a direct consequence of TT (wipes tear from eye).

You are so right about this - and I am duly scolded (smiles sheepishly).. My list was 13 books and I have thirteen seperate reasons why I love them but I kept them ALL to myself (frowns and shakes head like naughty school boy). I promise to do better next time (perky puppy dog smile).

Brought to you with good humour (hey that's the way I spell it!) and added sarcasm (only a little bit).

Grins, bows, exits stage left.

How come y'all spell humor so strangely? I wasn't fussing at you...ewe don't have to be sheepish.~skt

Thanks for the link love.

The post you listed of mine really made a difference in my blog's growth. I would comment on sites I like and people would start recognizing me and stop by. But if I was just posting Dawud, or dmiracle (which I began with), there would be much less name recognition. So when commenting, select a name that sets you apart from other commenters. Brand yourself.

You are so right. I never put "Shelly" as a signature, because there are a bunch of them out there. Your "brand" is certainly distinctive!~skt

I've decided to do TT for my regular readers only. My reasons are plenty, but mostly from time lost surfing and commenting. I'm a stay-at-home mom with limited time during the day to surf or post.

I agree with #3. My comments are just as important as a post. A writer has standards you know!

I'm not changing from blogspot, which means signing into Google for you. I sure hope you still visit now and again. If you're not commenting, I know that at least you're lurking!

If you feel so inclined vote for me, Top Momma. Yes, I have to ask and you'll see the shameless plea posted on Thursday.

Miscellaneous Matters

I do come and lurk, but the last few weeks have been hectic and I haven't been commenting much. I'll come by and vote Top Momma.~skt

I totally agree, I wish more "mom bloggers" or "women bloggers" or "parent bloggers" or whatever label you can use to describe the majority of bloggers I frequent would use those social bookmarking tools like stumbleupon.

Especially since there is a category for that, Michelle! Do we need to stand on a soapbox? I don't really want to put that stumble thumb on each post.~skt

Thanks for the great info! The entire post was really very informative for me. I followed a few of your links and was curious about the whole Google Juice, so I've gotten on board with all that link loving. Then I went ahead and posted a note to my readers telling them where they can find the info too.

You've done a great job with getting the word out! I hope others "do-follow" so to speak!~skt

I'm very new to all of this and really appreciate the good advice. Theres a nervousness and excitement at getting involved in the Thursday Thirteen but so far I've been pleased. Thanks again -

It will get easier as it goes along. Some days its a challenge, but it's one that I like. Thanks for visiting~skt
