Beautiful tribute! My Dad passed away in 1999, and while the pain eases the missing never goes away does it. Happy WW!

Nope, it never really does. I can still hear his laughter.~skt

I’m so sorry at the loss of your dad in 1994. From the pictures you posted it looks like he had a full and happy life.

1994 was a long time ago, so I’m really not “grieving.” But, today is the anniversary of the day we buried him. Thanks for the sentiments. He DID have a good life.~skt

William was a kick a** dancer! Is that your Mom with him? A Navy man, dancer, and cook! What more could you ask for in a man? Bob’s pretty cute, too.

Thinking about you today, ’cause I know your memories will stir.

Yeah, Daddy & Momma were swing dancers like you wouldn’t believe. I cried last night (joy…memory..tears) as I put this together, but I’m OK today. It’s been a long time, but you never stop missing them.~skt

What a wonderful WW. I love the picture of your Daddy dancind outside with your Mom? He looks so dang happy. You’ve created a great montage of your daddy, I loved looking at him as a proud young navy man to an older man who still enjoys the outdoors.

Daddy’s laugh could melt just about anybody, Tea. Thanks for visiting~skt

Wasn’t he handsome in that uniform? Aren’t ALL men handsome in uniform?~skt

This is a fabulous tribute post to your father. I dread the day I do something similar but will be proud to be my Pop’s daughter. Love to you x x x

PS Our Dane’s are “water phobic!” although most Danes are known to love water!

Thanks, Shaz. I hope you don’t have to make a similar tribute anytime soon! Can’t believe you don’t have Great Danes who love to swim!~skt

What great pictures. You can tell he had a lot of energy. Thanks for sharing those. Those of us who haven’t lost a parent yet can take strength from you when it inevitably happens.

That man could dance circles around me even when he was old and gray. Thanks for visiting. I hope you don’t have to “take strength” from me for many, many years.~skt

Hey Shelly how are you?

Love the photos (as always…) – it is obvious how much you loved you father. I do hope he understood that.It is so easy to miss the obvious.

Thanks for the encouragement over at my place by the way – you’re always welcome to come and have a natter on the porch, but try and give me some notice as I would have to build one first!

It’s my birthday tomorrow (no plug intended) and my dad (and mum) gave me the cash to buy my running shoes, so no excuses any more!

Have a great WW!

WhooWhoo! Now with running shoes, I expect to hear all about a marathon! Happy Birthday tomorrow. I’ll run right over and tell you~skt

Wonderful post and tribute to your dad. I miss my Dad too, he went January 18, 1999.

Everyone is invited over to my blog for a look around. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for visiting. It’s hard to lose our parents, and we miss them no matter how many years have passed. I guess I’ll always miss mine, but the heartache of it eases~skt
