Generosity

by Shelly Kneupper Tucker on June 18, 2007

shareasquare 125X211 GenerosityI’m gonna be honest with y’all. If I wrote a hilarious post and won a contest, AND $25.00 Amazon gift certificate as a reward, I’d be ordering my summer reading right now! Why I’d order a mystery by Linda Barnes or Marcia Muller. I’d take those books on my back porch and sip lemonade and gloat.

That’s NOT what the winner of the This Blog Blows My Dress Up Contesthas done. Matty, over at Running on Empty, asked if she could donate that money for yarn to help the Share A Square project. Thank you, Matty! You may be from Canada, honey, but your heart is as big as Dallas.

Tomorrow, I will take $25 to buy wonderful fuzzy black yarn for the borders on the first afghan; something soft that a child will enjoy feeling. Matty, the colors won’t be bright, but that yarn will be the unifying thread that holds our work together.

Y’all go give Matty a pat on the back.

Ohhhh, how nice!!!! Have you received any squares yet? Been away for a few days, I see you’ve been busy writing!! Gonna catch up on all your posts!!!

Jessica

I noticed you were gone, and missed you  . No squares yet, but many promised. Guess this means I have to drive to the post office. Oh well, I can get coffee on the way!~skt

That sounds just like Matty. She is one of the most kind hearted people that God ever blessed this world with. I don’t get to catch up on her blog as often as I would like, but no matter what story I happen upon, she amazes and amuses me at the same time. She is a winner in every sense of the word. Go Matty!

Say it again, child, Go Matty!~skt

That’s pretty darn cool (your goal and matty’s generosity) Sorry I don’t crochet nor do I know anyone who does but I will mention it to my friend who sews. Maybe she knows people you can help.

Thanks, archshrk. Any help we can get is appreciated. I’m glad you stopped by.~skt
