Quick Link Love

linklove.jpg Before you skip down to read my Thursday Thirteen, I want to offer some quick link love (and I may update it later today).






  • Fourier Analyst is an ex-pat living in the Netherlands with a pre-teen daughter. Since she is relatively new to blogging, she hasn’t yet developed a supportive reader base (but she will!)She’s just come upon a thorny dilemma, and I’m hoping that someone wise can advise her or at least commiserate. Her 12 year old daughter has asked the question, “Where do I belong?” Raise your hand if you are reading this and you are an ex-pat…then I can post to tell her who to visit!
  • Jessica The Rock Chick posted a wonderful tribute to her 96 year old grandfather called Hit Me With Your Best Shot.
     Go there after you read my Thursday Thirteen, because you might want to read hers, too. There is a strange connection between my mind and Jessica’s. Several times she has whined when I posted, because she was working on a post about the same topic and I beat her to the punch. It’s happened once again. Very eerie. I believe that either Jessica is secretly living an Eclectic Life, or that I am a budding Rock Chick.
  • For her not so Wordless Wednesday, Teamouse posted a picture and some exciting news for the Share A Square program. I’ll let her tell you about it. I will be posting an update later today about Share A Square, and the progress we are making to produce the 140 afghans for Camp Sanguinity Cancer Camp.

    • Don’t rush me. I’m visiting my kid from San Francisco.

    It is kind of freaky how we do that, isn’t it? Must be the tortured genius in both of us…or that we are the only ones who understand each other on our “islands”……LOL

    Thanks so much for the link-love!! I got some great suggestions that helped to clear my mind and order my thoughts and I think this crisis has been dampened (though not averted as tweens and teens are known to have relapses!). I’ll be blogging on the conversation we had tomorrow. Have a nice weekend!
