I have a confessions to make. I’m cursed, and bad luck follows me like the papparazi follows Paris Hilton. I know that I’m cursed, because this fortune teller told so, and I believe everything I hear.
You don’t think it’s true? People who hire me to come to their town to tell stories know that they have to “batten down the hatches.” If I come to town, there will be a flood, a hailstorm, a tornado or worse. You don’t want me standing by your shoulder if you are having a winning streak at a slot machine in a casino; I’ll end that winning streak for you in a hurry just by being there. And, you sure don’t want me to plead your case to the Pharaoh, or there will be a plague of toad frogs!
You still don’t believe? Just ask Jessica the Rock Chick! She was sooo close to being able to plaster one of these pink A-list badges on her blog. She had 462 Technorati links to her blog, and only needed 38 more to reach the A-List. I came along and decided to “help” by having a raffle to encourage people to link to her. I offered an easy way to WIN FABULOUS PRIZES. Tons of people linked to her, but it didn’t help. Technorati is taking away her links faster than she can get them, and now her links have dropped to 376! Dagnab Technorati! Dagnab curse!
Now, when I talked to that fortune teller, he told me this:
“Ze only vay to remove ze curse from your head eez to give a friend her heart’s desire. Eef you cannot do zat, you are doomed to carry bad luck all your days. You vill have as much bad luck as Paris Hilton has bad taste. You are doomed, doomed, DOOMED!”
That’s what he said. I’m not lyin’. And, I want to get rid of this curse! I need your help. I’m going to have a drawing on Friday. You can WIN FABULOUS PRIZES! I’ll make Jessica tally up the raffle tickets so far. You can add more to your count.

No, Technorati has serious issues.
Anyway, same thing with links being yanked faster than they can be added. I’m further than ever from alleged A-list and yet I feel fine.
