Y’all, I don’t take very good pictures, and my eyesight is shot. These didn’t look blurry while I was taking them. Maybe I can find a professional photographer who will volunteer to get these photographs. As Connie K said, “The afghans are much more beautiful when you can see them and touch them.”
These are the afghans that I have at my house so far for Share A Square. Fourteen in all. There are 13 more afghans being pieced together right now for the month of October. If we can keep up this pace, I think we will be able to make our goal of 140 afghans for the children at Camp Sanguinity Cancer Camp by next June. If you’d like to help, that can be arranged. See what is happening at theShare A Square website.
[UPDATE:
You can see the afghans at the Afghan Gallery.]
[EDITOR'S NOTE: The Share A Square project has ended, and the afghans were delivered on July 7th, 2008. Although we will not continue that project, an exciting NEW endeavor, called the Good Medicine Project is in progress for summer camp 2009. We hope you will join us.]

Wonderful news. Remember, if you need more supplies all you need do is ask. Have a great day Shelly.
Thanks, Sandee. There’s gonna come a time when I need gift boxes and tissue paper….so I may take you up on that!~skt
They’re just beautiful. So much love inside.
Isn’t there? Love from all over the country and the world. It’s pretty cool. That is an understatement.~skt
They are BEAUTIFUL! I have been waiting for a post that shows all of the afghans
It’s so exciting to see some of my squares in there.
P.S. I finished rimming the box of squares you sent me. I’ll be sending them back your way tomorrow.
You are such a sweetheart. Your squares are in very many of the afghans! I can’t thank you enough for all your support.~skt
They are lovely. Thanks for posting them.
My apologies for not posting them sooner! I hope I can keep up with the pictures for it. Wish you could actually hold one, you can almost feel the love.~skt
Wow. Love them!
I’ll get better pictures next time. I wish I was a good photographer…do you know one (lol)~skt
Those are beautiful afghans, and for a great cause! To get rid of the blurriness, use a tripod. Cameras can be sensitive to even the slightest shake of the hand.
Thanks for that tip, Damien! I was standing at the top of a ladder, though, so using a tripod might have been even trickier…I need to find a way to get “above” them without a ladder. If I break my neck these will never get done.~skt
Beautiful - it’s like looking inside all the hearts of those that made them. Very moving.
Well done Shelly.
Thank you, Nigel. I appreciate your kind words. There are a lot of beautiful hearts making these afghans!~skt
