Aw...I'm sorry to hear that Shelly..I do sympathize...although I have this strange, terrifying fear of cats...a cat phobia...I panic and have anxiety attacks the second a cat is in my presence. I'm okay with dogs though.
I once slept at my brothers house and he promised me his cat NEVER jumped on people..EVER...well in the middle of the night.as I lay on the couch fast asleep....guess what...my brother got a new skylight.....yep..the cat hit the ceiling and voila a skylight appeared. Don't have a clue what happened. I swear.

I don't fault you cat phobia. I have phobias of my own, and I can see how even MY cats can be creepy ~skt

Enjoy your jacuzzi while you can. You could get one of those plastic door knob covers that are supposed to keep toddlers out of your room, you have to push in and turn to open... but then, you would probably be in a hurry to get in the room and be all menopausey or just thrown lotion on and not be able to open your own door.

Hmmm. If I get in the jacuzzi, I'm not going to worry about opening doors.~skt

We have two cats here - Gracie, the dowager queen who is 16 years old and I think senile -or she's lost her sense of direction to the litter box and thinks I've moved it to the kitchen, in front of the sink and it is now an invisible box too - seen only by her. And then there is Nina, who we've had about six months now and she is really a fe-lioness - orange and very feisty too - just ask Gracie, who Nina chances, pummels every chance she gets as well! Gracie used to come and hop up on my back, knead it a bit and then settle down for a snooze but lately, the only time she does that is if she really wants something - usually food.

I thought that orange cats were only male, because that's all I've ever seen. Gracie and Nina sound wonderful. Mine are wonderful, too, but I sure get crabby when they won't let me sleep!~skt

I miss my cats sometimes. I used to have two really beautiful cats. Years ago, when I was diagnosed with asthma, I had to give my cats away. It was SO HARD!! Heartbreaking. So, just thank your lucky stars that you HAVE your cats. Maybe that will make you sleep better?? But the Hampton Inn with the Jacuzzi sounds nice too.

The Hampton Inn will be nice...and think how much I will appreciate my cats when I get home ~skt

What a nice cat. I like mine from a distance. (We are those pathetic allergy striken families that cannot have a cat. Yes, grieve my loss - I think I could be a crazy cat lady. They are mellow and independent...)

Yes, but you don't want one! OR five! I'm a crazy cat lady and at the moment I rue the fact!

How sweet that they try to stop you from packing! Beautiful cat. I'm so excited, as my son is bringing "Brownie" home from school this weekend. We're babysitting a bunny.

Bunnies are great! I used to raise them for their hair. I hope you enjoy! I hope it's litter boxed trained. And, watch out for the cords..they chew!~skt
