Choose
The single clenched fist lifted and ready,
Or the open hand held out and waiting.
Choose:
For we meet by one or the other.”
—Carl Sandburg

Peace is more than an absence of war, it’s an absence of malice. Let’s meet each other with open hands, shall we?

I’m reading so many wonderful quotes by such different people pertaining to peace – and it is quite an education as well as a really good feeling it puts inside me to take part in some small way in this effort toward peace.

Peace comes one day at a time…one person at a time, Jeni. There are indeed some wonderful peace quotes. I hope we can take them all to heart.~skt

I hope and wait that peace is possible. No matter from which countries we belong. Always there will be people with great hearts.
Sorry, I am not sure if I mean what I want.

You said what you meant, Sweet Lola. Words aren’t always necessary to show love, are they?~skt

I had not read that particular Carl Sandburg quote, thank you for choosing it.

Let’s dream and hold our hands out. Gee, I think you already have, repeatedly. Peace, Shelly.

Peace to you, my friend. Thanks for reaching out and taking my hand~skt

I like this, I’m going to steal it. Just thought you’d like to know.

Steal away any time you like!
