Doesn’t mean I’m not!
I am working very hard, but evidently some spammer doesn’t know that. There is a “Career Site” that wants me to click on their links very badly. They always have work for me. Tonight, they tell me:
Want to work at Starbucks as a barrista? We recently viewed your resume on-line and feel you would make an excellent addition…[that's all I can read without opening it]
An addition to what? I have no clue. Obviously, they haven’t been reading my blog, or they would know that Starbucks coffee is a drink of last resort. I much prefer my cup of java from the independently owned Jupiter House here in Denton, Texas.
Where would they see my resume? I work for myself! I don’t have to write a resume!
Oh, wait.
I do.
I have to turn in a grant to the Texas Commission of the Arts this month, and I need to write a resume. Dang. Anybody got any goodbull baloney I can write?
Oh, and instead of working on what pays me money so that I can buy baloney, I’ve been working on Share A Square. Go see the new Share A Square web site! It’s not finished, because I am manually transferring articles. But, check it out!
Thanks for your help, Leanne. It should be noted that she did not “design” the site, but she “customized” it. Her blog designs are much more cool than that, but this surely works for what I nee!

Just thinking about the resume thing - you definitely would never want anything in the way of advice from me (should you really need it) for resume writing because apparently my skills in that department were slim to nill - since I never got any interviews even for the many (and trust me, there were MANY) jobs I applied for after I got my degree and was ready, willing and able to launch out into my new, chosen career -that being NOT to be an assistant manager of a truckstop restaurant. Long story there -nuff said.
! Send your squares…I wil use them. But, it’s late to get them in the 140 for the camp. I’ll use them for the “extra afghans.”
And my apologies too on not having yet packed and sent my squares to you. I promise faithfully I will get this done ASAP!
Hi Jeni, a resume for a storyteller isn’t realy that difficult to write. I have one from when I applied two years ago. I don’t have to list being a checker at Kroger! Thank goodness. Managing a truckstop sounds like it might have some stories
I’m not a great resume writer, either. I love the new Share A Square site! Leanne does really nice work!
Starbucks does have the right idea, though. Barista! Sounds exotic! and much better than coffee assembler or something like that. Those are the kind of resume words you need!
Jessica
Leanne does do good work. I wish I had half of her skills. Yes, Barista is one of those good $10 words. Maybe I should consult a “resume generator.” Do they have those? You’ve seen the “art critic generators.” It just comes up with nonsense. That’s all I’m going to have, too!
I love your new site Shelly. Very well done. Have a great day.
Thank you, Sandee. I’m loving the changes you’ve been making on yours. Are you getting proficient in changing code, or are you finding friends to help??
Yuck starbucks. I prefer my Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
Don’t guess we have one of those around here…but Starbucks is usually the pits. However, I would make a great barrista…according to the “resume” these folks found!
You are one busy woman!!!
Loving the new SAS site, looks awesome! Two Thumbs Up!
PS: Did you get my last email….needing a email address so I can get started on that new project!
Yes, I’m busy! I can’t keep up. I like the new site, too, but moving stuff over there is a chore! May take me a couple of weeks. Last e-mail? Girl, I get 50 or so a day between work and the blog. That’s not counting all the ones that want to sell me a way to get a bigger “man thing.” Sorry, but I must have missed it.
Thanks for the Jupiter House love.
-the (now)blonde coffee girl.
Well, thanks for coming by to discover that I sent love that way! Does it get me a discount???
