I'm concerned about this recession, though. I'm not so sure it will go up... I think there are more underlying forces at work. Oil scarcity. We've got food prices rising like crazy, and there are more forces working on <em>that</em> than just the economy. I’m afraid I agree with you on that, Mother Pie, but I’m like a turtle with my head pulled into the shell. We’ve got food prices rising like crazy, and there are more forces working on that than just the economy. Weather factors ruining crops, honeybees dying….I can’t blame it all on George, but he’s “convenient.”

I have to say, it's pretty bad around here. The next town over is generally pretty wealthy. Not Bill Gates wealthy, but certainly not hurting for anything. I can't even tell you how many homes are in foreclosure there. My hubby says at the police department there's a big surge in auto repos, too.
