I found your post via the results listed by Joanna, and really enjoyed reading it. I thought one point in particular, humorous authors, was especially good -- we all face our own challenges which block inspiration, but laughter really is the best medicine. I enjoy all the personal development and business blogs I subscribe to, all the more 'serious' and 'intellectual' books and articles I follow... but every once in a while, I just need to sit down and read a truly funny story.

Glenn's last blog post..Definitions, Inspirations, and A Lot of Good Writing

I like reading posts like this one, to see what inspires others. Your first three blocks to writing creativity are the same for me. I wish I could plan better, but planning ahead of time doesn't seem to be working for me, there's always something that comes up and spoils all the plans, so now I stopped planning, or planning with some extra flexibility.
My biggest source of inspiration is my daughter, also reading - books, magazines. I really like house&home magazines - they are filled with beautiful sources of inspiration, and not just for our homes.

inspirationbit's last blog post..Love And Hate Relationship With Digg & Reddit

I know what you mean about magazines. I can't sit and read one if I'm at a doctor's office, or waiting room, because I get caught up looking at the pictures. Small children ARE good inspiration. Planning is a difficulty if I'm trying to be creative....but unexpected change throws me out of whack completely.

I knew you would have an interesting response to that challenge. I just didn't have a response... I write when someone puts words or photos as a prompt or just because -- I can't say anything else inspires me - other than emotion, I suppose.

I can't picture you museless at all, in my mind you never are lost for an idea... guess you cover it well.

I got this as an email a couple of days ago and immediately thought, "This would make a good blog article". It will get done eventually as family life has me swamped except for throwing up easy things at the moment.

I love this! I'm so glad you found me through Amy. She's one of my sources of inspiration, but like you I don't like to list just 4 blogs when so many people inspire me.

My muse is a she too, most definitely, and knows her own mind. It's why I love her so.

Thanks for taking part, I really enjoyed learning more about your creative mind

Amy's one of my sources, too, Joanna. Yes, those Muses just almost have to be female don't they? I look forward to seeing all the posts. I'll put links to them on my blog, so everyone can find them. Thanks again for hosting it!
