I went to the extreme, I spent nearly every moment I wasn’t working my 40-58 hours a week with our son until I “couldn’t get away with it any more.” I would not trade a clean house for those moments for anything, but I think I could have balanced it a tad bit. And I miss our 30 year old at times.

Gosh, it goes by quick – and the trouble is you don’t realize it when the pot is boiling over and the baby is eating diaper cream(not a true story), but it’s those moments years later that you’ll wish were upon you again – dang it, you brought tears to my eyes!!! It must be because I am just in the later stage of my kids growing up and it’s kind of hard to get used to and I do so remember all the good times we had and some days I wish parts of them were still here and then I shake myself silly and I am thankful that they are potty trained and we can go to movies, play games and enjoy so many other things together now.

Yes, Kacey, it is kinda fun when the kids get to that almost grown stage. Except for my youngest stepson, though, the boys are scattered across the country. Somehow holidays lose a lot of their appeal if you can’t bring the kids together.
