If I get to go home this summer..I intend to fill up that pool…its only an above-ground 4′ pool….and I’m not counting on rain to do it. I’m doing it….we’ll save on showers…we’ll all wash in the pool.\
But I will not go as far as your roommate did in a former post of yours and do everything in the bathroom sink!

Those DID help … especially the one about stirring up allergens. I now see that dusting contributes to air pollution, so in an effort to be environmentally responsible, I feel I must limit my dusting! Thanks for the smile!

I can tell that I need your help! Can you think of any reason why NOT dusting my house regularly might be a good thing?

First of all, Brenda, if you don’t dust….after five or six years it doesn’t look any worse. Second, dusting could stir up allergens that would make you sick. Third, as you get older your eyesight goes and you don’t see the dust, anyway. Just hang out with us old people! I’m trying! did those help?

I wash my car at home )-: we have a well so we do have to save water. So...I use two big towels to dry with and I let them air dry and reuse them several times before I wash them. They are not dirty after I wash the car anyhow!!!(-: I use a bucket of soapy water and scrub it all down then rinse it off real quick. Oh did I mention we live on a dirt road? LOL So why wash it anyhow???(-: And the old saying for toilets is...If its brown flush it down....if its yellow let it mellow...ROTFL...ewwww The shower thing is another one that makes me crazyyyyy My son takes a long shower and I just see $$$ flying out the window. I have to remind him again to hurry it up. Glad you posted this because I needed a reminder to conserve more(-: Have a nice evening!!! Hey! I’m an Element owner too! And I do prefer to wash my toaster by hand. The car wash places always miss as much as they catch and it really gripes me to pay $12-14 bucks for a halfway-done job. It is a bit tricky to get some of the topmost portions of the Element, but I kinda follow your steps and use my own bucket, scrub brush (for the wheels and underbody areas that I can reach), and wash mitt. So, I can usually do an awesome job for about $4 in quarters.

I like my Honda Element, and it’s smaller than the “Mommy van” that I used to drive (so it’s easier to wash). I also like that it’s not got a lot of ornamentation to have to scrub. I have a friend who raises miniature horses who can put three horses in his Element, when the seats are taken out! It’s a good car.

Oh your talk about different things reminded me of my post on 3 Little Tips To Save. Namely the navy shower. But the others are pertinent as well! Derek Wong's last blog post..Fortune Cookies Suck My Daddy was heavily into those "Navy showers." Again, just being aware of it is the key.
