NOW You can Donate to the Camp Sanguinity Fund

by Shelly Kneupper Tucker on April 15, 2008

UPDATE: THE FUND RAISING HAS ENDED.
Whoot! NOW we are in business!

I’ve told you about it, and it took me several tries and several days to get a PayPal fund set up. You will be seeing this image on my sidebar for the next several months. You can click it to donate for the kids at Camp Sanguinity Cancer Camp.

Next July, 140 children with cancer and blood disorders (and their siblings) will have the opportunity to attend summer camp. Camp Sanguinity is associated with Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas. For six glorious days, those children can forget about The Big “C” and just have a ball.

WE can help free their parents of some of their money woes by donating to pay for their registration. It’s $150 per child. Yes, that’s $21,000. Yes, it’s crazy! YES, we can do it!

For the record, the money donated goes into an account at Bank of America that is strictly for Camp Sanguinity. I have a TIN from the IRS as a non-profit. The money will be reported to the government at the end of the year. I don’t have any checks! When we have accumulated the money, my bank will draft a check to Camp Sanguinity.

How can you help?

  • You can click that button and donate with your PayPal account (Be aware that PayPal takes out a small fee from your donation. I just donated $10, and it took $0.59 from it.).
  • You can send a personal check to me to deposit. Make it out to:

    Tucker’s CAMP SANGUINITY FUND 2008

DO NOT make the check out to me!!

    Send it to me:
    Shelly Tucker
    P.O. Box 2241
    Denton, TX 76202
  • Is money tight? Is that a stupid question? Then, TELL people about it! Blog it. If you want to send a link in an e-mail to 150 of your closest friends, I’ll send you the PayPal link (just e-mail me at shelly dot tucker at gmail dot com).

We are going to do this, y’all!! You and me!

I repeat: Whoot!
