Ok - I just commented on another post about bacon and then this one, you truly have me craving it - thankfully I am planning on cooking some this weekend for brunch. I have to admit I've never done much more with bacon than for breakfast food - but I'm getting all sorts of new ideas.

Just saw a new product in the newspaper and thought of you. Take a look: http://baconsalt.com/. I haven't tried it yet, but it's a local (Seattle) product. Because, everything's better if it has bacon

Now, Shelly, I'm hungry! Your timing is near perfect, thank you, 'cause I have to start cooking next month to make up for that high rent! Yes to the mushrooms, and I love Tex-Mex. Now, somewhere I saw an easy recipe for Guacamole.

Off to follow your link. Thank you!

Well, these should come in handy, and you can throw away the "dishes" When you find that easy guacamole recipe, pass it on...

Wow those sound like some really good ideas. And it's lunch time so I'm getting super hungry! I really might try out some of those things. For the most part I'm comfortable in the kitchen, but I'm not really at the point where I entirely make up a dish. For the most part it's just modifying things that I already know work.

Seriously, the Italian and the Tex Mex are fantastic. I've gotta think up some other flavorings, though, because I think I'll get sick of these, even with several combinations. I'm thinking one with Teriyaki sauce, maybe one with tarragon. I don't know. Try mixing several vegetables to make the amount, too. I like putting together a little bit of squash, a little bit of onion, and a whole lotta mushroom!
