I live in cowboy country too. Wranglers, boots and a belt buckle the size of a dinner plate are a must for best-dress affairs. My grandson’s last birthday wish was “I want to be a cowboy”.

Although my country music is not my favorite I have spent many a Saturday night on the dance floor. Occasionally I will pull out some old Rodney Crowell or Rosanne Cash and get into the twang.

“Buckles the size of a dinner plate,” indeed! There is also the bolo tie. I can listen to Rodney and Rosanne, but I prefer Lyle Lovett and Johnny Cash (The MAN). Most of the rest is just noise to me.

Oh, my Cowboy and I used to LOVE to dance. (we actually met in a Cowboy bar) .Never got into the line dance, just the swing etc. Hubby is awesome. No place to go around these parts or we’d still be dancing…besides at home around the wood floors.

For me, the line dance is much easier than trying to dance with someone else I’m so hammer headed that I always want to lead. Sorry you don’t have any place to dance…but dancing at home isn’t so bad, is it? Especially if you like your partner.

I’m terrible at line dancing. Love to watch it though. Especially with hunky cowboys. Not much country going on around my parts though. Too bad. I love country music. I instilled my love of country music in only one of my boys.

If I had my druthers, I would learn to swing dance. But, since we don’t dance so well, we go where our friends go…and they choose country music. Oh well.

I actually learned to Boot Scootin’ Boogie when I worked at the Lone Star Restaurant as a waitress. It was one of our dances!

I like to line dance, but I always screw it up somehow. The other day I got a copy of Footloose for my daughter to see because it;s the school musical they are doing this year.

Thank you! I love that line dance and song. love love love. We went out a couple of times and did that sidelines thing, I had the video, but it disappeared. Gotta go, the video is calling.

Oh, as to the doctor, send her a copy of the blog post, maybe she will recognize herself. AND it is well documented in articles that you never should rely on the office calling you back with test results, people have not been called – with dire results. She OWES you an explanation of the results, you paid her for the appointment, she owes you. (Maybe call the other doctor’s office and ask them to request a copy of the report now?)

Yup…it’s totally cool, and I can’t stop dancing. They think I’m an idiot when I dance in line at Starbucks, but there you go. As to the doctor…I’m ignoring it all. When I go for a regular checkup, my MD will give me the scoop.

There was a stretch way back in the late 80s when I worked for a country radio station with that music nine hours a day. That was at the height of genre sweeping the nation. A great deal of time was spent on location doing those dances(another three hours on Friday and Saturday night), and my daughter actually became obsessed (couldn't get away from it at home).
