Hey, you make a great pirate!! I didn't dress up at all this year. Usually, I am JessiCat or a witch. I love wicked witch costumes. I haven't seen the Angelina lips movie. I'll wait til I can rent it. This year we had a lot of trick or treaters because it was unusually warm. Love your description of the bumblebee mom out pollinating for tricks! You crack me up! I’m always distracted by her lips! They’re like two sofa cushions.

And I don’t know what it is, but lately I’ve seen what seems like tons of mommies who are dressed in a more attention-grabbing manner than their progeny. Maybe it’s just since I started watching “What Not to Wear,” but I do believe certain lengths and tightnesses of clothing are not appropriate past a certain age. (And I know my husband’s getting older because he agrees with me!)

I’ve avoided seeing The Changeling even as much as I usually love “old Los Angeles” movies. The Christine Collins case was so searing. Do they deal with the serial killer and the fact that Christine met with him many years after the event, but he wouldn’t tell her if he killed her son.

Yes, they do. Between that scene, her being put in the institution, and the trauma of the kidnappings it was all I could do to stay in the theater. MUCH too heart wrenching.

You’re a great looking pirate. How fun to have a grownup dressup party to go to. I keep threatening to have one for Purim (sort of a Jewish Halloween in late winter – different story but lots of costumes and no shortage of sweets) but I suspect most of my friends would wimp out. So sad. And speaking of sad, she didn’t know who Keith Richards was??????

Yeah, I was puzzled that anyone didn’t know Keith. I’m afraid most people thought I was a gypsy until I said “Yaaargh.” It was sure fun to play dressup though. Haven’t done it in forever. I agree it would be a bummer to have a costume party and watch everyone wimpout.
