Old Fat Naked Women For Peace- The Righteous Mothers

by Shelly Kneupper Tucker on November 9, 2008©

If I wasn’t hiding from my e-mail inbox, I’d have had this video for Mimi’s Blogblast for Peace. My Daddy always said I was “a day late and a dollar short.”

A peacenik friend of mine forwarded a link to this, but doggone it I didn’t follow it until after the fact. Go ahead and watch it, it is funny — not offensive. It’s a group called The Righteous Mothers.

From their website, I got this information:

The Righteous Mothers are four funny, philosophical female folk-rock musicians who have been one of the Northwest’s foremost musical performing groups for the past 26 years. They whip their audience into a frenzy with zany original music, witty theatrics, and mind-boggling, intricate vocal harmonies. The Righteous Mothers grab hearts and funny bones with songs about ice cream, labor pains, annoying dreams and Supreme Court decisions. They surprise and delight young and old, gay and straight, male and female with their quirky humor and open hearts.

I don’t know about you, but I think I’d sit and have a cup of coffee with these women any morning. I promise that I won’t “join them in solidarity,” though.

OMG! This is hysterical! Now I have “knock it off or we’ll take it off” stuck in my head. Hmmmm….I wonder if that would work for other things….

Shoot…it would probably work for a LOT of things. What are you gonna protest?

I’m an old fat woman . . . and NOBODY wants to see THIS! ;-)

 All the better if you are stripping to protest, right? You will be more sure to get your way
