So sorry to hear you're not feeling any better  That makes me sad!

I've never heard of chiggers. Are they only in the south? When you first mentioned them, I thought they were scabies, which, of course, are gross things that burrow under your skin. When my daughter was in Kindergarten, somehow they spread like wildfire through the kids and their families. YUCK!

I have a bath solution for you, too, because I can't just sit in a bubble bath. My mind races and I can't relax. I read my tabloids, The Star, The Enquirer, etc. in the bubble bath. You can laugh, you don't really have to concentrate on reading and the bet part is, it doesn't even matter if they get wet! LOL Give it a try, it worked for me. Hope you're feeling better soon!

I shall try reading the tabloids...but they don't interest me a lot. Chiggers do burrow under the skin, but are not like scabies. I don't know if they are only in the South, but if you ask folks around here (who grew up in the country), they know what they are!

I'm basically a shower person, as the only way I can soak in a tub is a good book and a glass of wine. That requires a tub with a sloping back, one of those little trays that spans the tub on which to rest the book and wine glass. Air jets are nice as is a true Japanese soaking tub (you have to shower first for that).

Since my tub is a straight back object of discomfort, back to the shower.

Jamies last blog post..Did It Again

Maybe I could soak, if my tub wasn't so huge. I can't rest me feet against the end...and if I try to lean back I sink. Next house, I'll look into getting a better tub. Until then...I'm not fond of baths.

Got to weigh in w/ Kathleen - try the Aveeno. ;-)

Hope you get to feelin' better (read: itchless) real soon!

Ok, ok...I'll try Aveeno. If smart people are recommending it (that would be y'all), then it must be good.

Now I understand. Lysol is a strange thing to put in your bath. I had five brothers and my mothers used to buy something called Mr. Bubble. It caused my brothers to have a rash in their "nether areas."

 Remind me not to use Mr. Bubble! I need rashes "nether" here nor there!

Well that's useful information! Strangely I've gone the other way (that is I now take navy showers). It just makes sense to me, but I guess that I don't get to that point of being stressed out that I need to take a long leisurely shower. I'm sure that if I ever do, though, I won't be afraid to take it.

I feel guilty about the long showers, but I never let guilt really stop me...just slow me down.

Aveeno? Mom swears by Aveeno oatmeal bath for itchy, dry, peeling, scaly skin. Followed by Aveeno Cream.

I know of chiggers, but they didn't like me as much as the mosquitos. And mom, being a city girl, would have no idea how to deal with chiggers! :)

I like Aveeno. But, I still don't like to soak. Mosquitos like me, too! I wonder if we were on the same porch which one of us the mosquitos would choose?
