Can You Say 720 Cans To The Food Banks?

by Shelly Kneupper Tucker on December 13, 2008

Yes, that’s what I said! I was matching cans for comments this last week, and got 80 comments. PLUS I promised to match the comments from Marcia’s blog, which totaled 40. That’s 120 cans. Just from me. Marcia at RV Poetry & her husband Leon are matching it (go read what she said, for she is much more eloquent). Marcia has two people matching her donation, and I’ve got two people matching mine. That’s

SIX TIMES ONE-HUNDRED & TWENTY= 720 CANS
TO AREA FOOD BANKS!!

See what we can do when we work together?

Thank you all for commenting and helping us spread the Christmas spirit. I’m working to add links to my initial post about it, and still have a few to do. At the moment, my server is being very unreliable, so I’m trying to post before it goes down again.

Marcia and I have both decided that the food bank, being such a worthy cause, deserves our attention at other times of the year, too. Watch for us to try this again in mid-summer!

It is even more necessary mid year. This time of year many people donate, but those gifts taper off and the food banks can get severely depleted despite donations from farmers, corporations etc.

You are right, I guess we will have to do it again?
