Don't I just know what you mean about the damn weather out here in So. Cali Desert! This mornin' it was so gorgeous I started to catch up on laundry... I was singin'! Then the wind kicked up and by 3 the sky was so dark it looked like 6! Grrr....
I never even got to my planting :-(
Your kitchen is so cool! I love the octagonal shape. I have a red Oster blender that simply MUST be out. It's just to pretty to put away.

Thornes last blog post..New Tattoo Images - Lanner Falcon Mantling

I like the octagonal shape, too, but it isn't very practical. Because of the windows, the cabinets above the sink are too small to use for the dinner plates. Makes for a shuffle when you are trying to set the table or put away the dishes. Oh, well. And yes get that red blender out! Then you can dust it constantly

I was just looking around and thinking that I need to get some spring cleaning started myself. Winter isn't over, that's true (although here in southern CA, who can tell?). I love that feeling of looking around at a freshly organized and cleaned area!

Derek Wongs last blog post..Finishing Up

I do TOO! I really enjoy seeing spaces that have that "Zen-like" feel. Unfortunately, being a packrat is not conducive to such a look. I got all fired up to start working in my bedroom, because I've read that if your bedroom is cluttered you don't sleep well. I've pulled everything off the shelves, and now I don't have the energy to put it back ! I need an "intervention" before I spring clean myself to death!

Haven't jumped into Spring cleaning yet, but I need to. I don't have much good advice about keeping a house neat as a pin, other than every once in a while clutter drives me crazy and I go on a declutterization rampage. :)

The weather's wacky here in TN, too. Three days ago, temps hit near sixty, and I was working in our garden, raking and getting rid of rocks and roots. Today, it's cold and snowy and blowy. By this coming weekend, it'll be back in the sixties. *whew*! Back and forth, back and forth.

I had heard that y'all grew rocks in Tennessee . I know what you mean about the back & forth. And, see, I was hoping YOU would have advice for me, because you and I have a similar situation. No kids, but cats everywhere you look. I swear they are messier than the kids EVER were!

To funny about putting the coffee maker away. What if your company is me and I love coffee??? LOL(-: I have heard putting toasters away too and all that stuff. I can't do that either. I think the main thing would be the papers that collect and the little things that don't belong on the kitchen counter. Dirty dishes etc. I have a Kitchen Aide mixer too and I wouldn't think of hiding it!(-: I like a house to look homey and if the counters are bare then it isn't very homey to me. Your kitchen looks great!

 Any company I had would want coffee, too. Now, I'm pretty good about washing the dishes, and my adorable husband helps me with that. I let all the cookbooks creep out of the pantry, though. And, I keep putting too many little knicknacks on the counter. You are my kind of company. Wanna come have coffee?
