The videos are great!

I also find that taking a walk works really well.
Take a walk and look out at the things around you.

By all means turn that @#*#@* news off!

Love Sheila

Where YOU live, taking a walk would be wonderful. Around here, I might choke from exhaust fumes . But, I agree that walks are good stress relievers. Exercise of any kind is. I'll exercise by walking over and turning off the television. That will be a good walk.

I agree that the words on the first one can be distracting but are also good instructions for those not used to meditating.

I like the images on the first one better, how they changed color reminded me of "subconscious chakra therapy" which is also great for relieving stress.

I love the music for both. The first seemed more soothing for me.

Thanks for sharing... that was lovely.

I think the first was more soothing for me, too. Since I can't see well without my glasses, the words didn't distract me much. I couldn't read them!

Oh. My. Goddess. Shelly, the first one, the Meditation for Dummies,is the one I was thinking of. Okay. That didn't sound right. We all know you are no dummy! Hehe. The thing was, it is a meditation I came across last night while surfing for some chants n such for The Eclectic Witch! Although the words are a bit distracting, they are pretty good instruction for folks not accustomed to doing meditation, and the tonal aarrangement of the music is very conducive to good stuff for the mind and body! I hope they helped back that stress off, lovey! Muaaah!

Ummm...they relieved it for a minute or two, but then I stepped away from the computer.

Both videos are very nice, and I agree -- the music for the second is the best. Music is something that always helps me relax, whether playing it on my piano or listening to it. And cuddling with and playing with my cats. :)

I'm reminding myself of the Albert Schweitzer quote: "“There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats."

 I like that quote, but sometimes the cats don't give me refuge from my miseries. Can you say "hairball?" I still can't decide which of the videos suits me. Maybe I should look for more.
