Every year we have a "Garden Fry" Anything we can batter and deep fry from the garden gets sliced... green tomatoes, eggplant, chiles, (stuffed with cheese), onions, squash... we make a couple of gallons of ranch dressing to go with and YUM! (Although I too prefer my green tomatoes "straight"!)
