Scenes From The River Walk

by Shelly Kneupper Tucker on May 21, 2009

One of the most lovely attractions of San Antonio, Texas is the downtown River Walk. We didn’t have much time to spend there after work yesterday (and trust me — you could spend hours there). Most of our time was spent in a pub. That’s a story for another day!

I’m driving across Texas today to return home, but thought I’d share a few of the photographs I took as we wound our way along the paths beside the river. Another day, I’ll tell you more.

That looks like a wonderful place to visit. Can’t believe how lush and green everything is.

I wish you could actually be there! My pictures absolutely do NOT do it justice!

Beautiful! Every time you write and post pictures, the more I want to come and visit Texas. I’ve driven through on several occasions while driving to Mexico, but I’ve never had the chance to stop and stay and look.

Come on down! I know that Texas is not everyone’s cup of tea, but there are more attractions than one would guess (because it’s a pretty big state  ). I’d love to have you visit…it would give me a good excuse to take you gallavanting around town.

I have always wanted to visit San Antonio. My grand daughter was born there. Your pictures make me really want to go!

In fact a bunch my friend from a forum I am in are meeting there this week end! Boo Hoo for me.

You should come around. San Antonio is truly a jewel. It’s my favorite Texas city.

That is just gorgeous! My daughter was there when she was young; 12, I think, and she told me it was lovely and I have some photos around here somewhere but none like these! Wow! Is that a living cactus wreath?? I have to make one!! How?? Tell me!!

I couldn’t climb over the diners seated in front of that wreath to find out if it’s a “living wreath,” but I sincerely doubt it. If I knew how to make one, I’d tell you in a heartbeat. Why don’t you figure out how to make one & post about it?

What is so cool is that I have read and seen pics of San Antonio on the RV blogs – they all captured the beauty of visiting there – yet, you showed angles or photos I had not seen yet. Love every one of them.

We had the same orange flower in the yard at the home we owned for 24 years. They were out of control, grin.
