During the summer, my Spousal Unit and I often take tiny road trips across Texas. A recent stop in Riesel was a “photo op” for me. I love to recycle and re-purpose articles, but I’m wondering if this has perhaps stretched the boundaries of good taste.
I'm sure the owner is flushed with pride.
Will it all come out in the wash?
Sinking to another low.
I’m sure there are folks who think that re-purposing used bathroom fixtures is an adorable idea — and it is on the side of an antique/junk store. You won’t find anything like these in my yard, however. Talk about getting the plumbing clogged with roots!
I’ve entered these photos in a project called Summer Stock Sunday, hosted by Around The Island. Visit Robin to find other people posting pictures representing what summer means to them.

I could handle the tub and the sink, but the toilet…that’s a little over the top. Of course, I’ve seen that in Kentucky, too. :/

You left yourself wide open on that Kentucky remark, girl…but I’m not gonna go there (to the remark–not Kentucky—I’ll go there). Yep. This one was a bit too ridiculous for me (though most things aren’t).
I love the blue sink(-:
Fits right in with my garden junk(-: I have two bathtubs and three sinks in the garden already. No toilet though. That I can’t bring myself to do yet…maybe someday…(-:

The blue sink is the only one that works for me. Promise me you won’t add a toilet to the garden. Pleeeze!
The sink and the tub are cute, the toilet is a bit above and beyond for me though. Great catch Shelly!

Thanks, Robin. And, again I appreciate you for your inspired photo project. I love Summer Stock Sunday!
I just commented on another blog about how much I liked using a chair as a planter. This bathroom stuff??? Hmmmmm…..I’d have to say no, but believe it or not, the only one that I think is bordering on “ok” IS the toilet! LOL Call me wacky!!!

Ok, Wacky.
I think it is creative recycling though it may not be for everyone’s outside decor. Right now I am working on turning a wooden crate a TV was shipped in, into a bar for my patio.
Wishing you a scent-sational day!

Patty, a wooden crate as a bar could work for me. And, I’m all for re-cycling. but, I won’t be adding a toilet to my outdoor decor.
I love them – especially the sink!
Carlettas last blog post..Summer Stock Sunday: Cooling Down
Carletta, the sink is the only one that appealed to me…maybe because it was blue. I have an odd sense of humor, but toilets in the yard & flamingos in the yard (and those cut-outs of the little old lady’s rear end) don’t work for me.
Thank you! Thank you! I can’t stop laughing – I like the person who proudly put roses in the toilet. Great idea – bold! Thank you – you totally made my day – my week – my month

Well, I’m glad it made you laugh, Ellie. I thought it was funny … but I’m not going to imitate it
I vote yes for the toilet!

Ummm… no to all, for me, thanks! Further proof that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!
