Nothing ever goes back into it's own storage bag as easily as it came out! LOL I have some similar sized bags from a local produce store and I got some much larger ones from Aldi. I used to forget to bring them with me all the time and now I just keep them in my car. It's now become a habit to just put them right by the front door after I unpack and right back in my car on the next trip outside. Based on what I'm buying, I just bring in however many bags I think I will need. I haven't noticed these at my Walgreens yet, but I'm going to look for the purple ones ;)

I do that, too, Robin. Although I often have to walk back out to the car in the scorching heat to retrieve them. Maybe I need to tie one to my arm when I get in the car?

Excellent idea for a Christmas gift (and saves a lot of wrapping paper, too). I have a friend who gave the more expensive bags as the actual gift, and I thought that was pretty cool. It's a good way to make Christmas "green," eh?

Sally, what an excellent idea for a fund raiser! Unfortunately, I don't have an inside track with Walgreens, but if I were in your shoes I would approach the manager of my local store. Tell him just what you told me and ask if he can get you the bags at his cost. Be sure to point out to him that it is excellent advertising for his store and that you will list Walgreens as a "partner" in your promotion to the newspaper. If he has any smarts, he will jump on that free advertising like a duck on a June bug! Good luck, and let me know if it works for you. I'll brag about Walgreens charitable bent on the blog.

Can you tell me where I could order about 100 of the zipper reusable bags like at Walgreens? We want to sell them as a fund raiser at our silent auction to raise money for college scholarships.

Thanks,

This is one thing I do. Once I got into the habit it has been easy.

Last year.I bought reusable bags and put my Christmas gifts in them as a hint to my friends and family.
