Ours is just a “mini-vacation” — a trip to the Capitol of the Lone Star State. We dashed down to Austin for an overnight trip to break the monotony of two weeks of working on our house and yard. Everybody needs a break from drudgery now and then so they can maintain an optimistic outlook on life. Trust me, we needed to get away, and I’ll tell you all about our trip when I get home.
I’ve taken hundreds of pictures hoping for just a handful that will “blow my dress up.” I’ll be taking hundreds more today, if it doesn’t rain. My beloved husband indulges me as we drive down the road and I shriek, “STOP! It’s a PHOTO-OP!”

The best part of this vacation is that it is making me forget that I have poison ivy spread all down the right side of my body. I even foolishly touched my face after touching the welts on my leg — and it spread there,too. The good part about that is: you won’t see any pictures of me on this trip!
