Disjointed Photo Album

by Shelly Kneupper Tucker on August 26, 2009

While editing photos for the parade I told you about yesterday, I got distracted looking at some of the photographs that we have taken. They are the ones that never became a post — but I liked them. That’s about the only thing they have in common. It’s “disjointed,” I know. But, it’s the way my mind is “working” right now.

I decided to share them with you, so without further ado:

Did you see anything that is a common thread on these pictures? I didn’t, and I have no clue why those were the ones I chose. I just saw some “beauty” in them, I suppose (except for the drag queen — she needs a makeover!). From time to time on this blog, I may post a few photos like this. Or, not. It depends on what mood strikes me.

Y’all have a wonderful day, and go find some beauty — wherever it might be.

The only connection I see is that they are all a fascinating juxtposition of shapes and texture. I love the Galveston shoreline with the chair cover thrown in for a few more waves.

Thanks! I don’t know why I was fascinated with the chair cover, but I can look at it for hours (no wait, my attention span isn’t that long). I can look at it for a few minutes.

Oh Shelly, these are all great pics!! (and your sloganizer says: “Texas is a female force” Bwahahahaha!!) I really like the light bouncing off the water in the first image, and the dichroic glaze on the tiles, and the glints in the fabric waves, and the edgy earthy drum colors and pattern, and of course I love kitchen kisses! You know what? There is a theme here and it includes that sultry drag queen. It’s magick. Bravo!

My sloganizer is right! The tiles were so awesome that I wanted to blog about them, but never got around to it. I knew you would like to see them, though. Kitchen kisses are the best….
And, yeah. I like the drag queen, too.

But that’s just it. Beauty.

We really don’t need more of a theme than that.

Thank you, darlin’. I can get all into that theme, myself.
