Haunted House in Black and White

by Shelly Kneupper Tucker on August 30, 2009

It’s probably not haunted — maybe. It certainly looked like it could be. We found it driving around in Boyd, Texas (which is another of those small towns in Wise County). Of course, I screamed, “Stop! It’s a Photo-Op!”

I wanted to wander through that old house, but it might have fallen down on me. Can’t you just imagine ghostly inhabitants?

I didn’t ask around in town to find out anything about it, so I guess I’ll just have to make up my own story.

Got any ideas for a ghostly tale to match the house?

Great shots! A sort of 50′s look to the house – a bit of Psycho and ‘Salem’s Lot all rolled into one. :D

You think it looks 50′s? I’m thinking more 1920′s. Maybe even earlier. It’s hard to tell with old farm houses. Again, I wish I could have wandered closer to take some shots.

Is it more expensive because it is haunted – will they make discount – I don’t need the ghosts :)

I don’t know that it is even for sale! I think you pay extra for ghosts

Evryone of those shots is a good un – certainly evocative. A story waits in the shadows.

There may be several stories out of this house. Again, I’m so glad you encouraged us to try black and white!

I love ghosts! And I love this house! And I feel my mind has started on the story of the house. Bed-timestory for my kids…

Gorgeous photos!

Oh, Arya! If you tell a ghost story to your kids for bedtime, you might never get any sleep!

Great photos. Those old dilapidated empty run down shacks and houses along the old two lane roads look black and white naturally with the gray siding, especially on a cloudy day. I think I know what happened there, check your e-mail.

I think it’s probably haunted. If not, it will be when I get through with it!
