My blogging friend, Sophiagurl, believes that Life Is What You Make It. The beauty of her spirit shines through when she writes. She lives on the “busy streets of Manila” with two beautiful children and a loving husband. She likes “weaving dreams and magical things.”
Manila …
Ondoy!
TYPHOON!
I had to go check to see what was going on in her life. The good news on this Only The Good Friday, is that this beautiful lady is safe. However, she shares a harrowing tale about her sister and husband, who were trapped by flood waters in Pasig for several days. I’ll give you a spoiler and a caution: her sister was rescued, but she has sorrowful tales to tell of the devastation she saw. Those stories are NOT pretty, but haunting..
Yes, I know. That part isn’t good. But, read the post. You WILL see the good. Sometimes, you have to see the bad to understand the good. When Sophiagurl couldn’t contact her family, she got help from people on Facebook that she didn’t even know. The support her family got was amazing. Social networking is good! And, when you read the post, you will remember why every single one of us needs to make a donation to the Red Cross today. The Red Cross is good.
I hope that y’all are safe and well, and that your world is good. Remember, as Sophiagurl would tell you: “Life is what you make it.”

Sweetie, you had a few other things going on! I didn’t expect to hear from you. Yes. I was worried about you. I look forward to your new found optimism. Sounds like a “phoenix rising from ashes?”
