The good is that so many people went to donate blood for them locally, they reportedly overwhelmed the blood bank. They had to turn them away until the next day.

The bad is, they had a crazed shooter in Orlando today. The good is they, at least, caught him afterward, so he can't do it again.

It is challenging to our optimism, but optimism will creep back in, it can't be left behind. Crochet away, they will be grateful.

It is hard to find anything good about this tragic event, but the heroism of the civilian policewoman who stopped the gunman preventing more deaths and injuries. Then there was the training that allowed uninjured soldiers to battlefield dress and attend to the wounded until professional help could arrive.

Then there is the thanks of a greatful nation for these brave men and women and their families who lay their lives on the line. Whether you agree with their mission or not, this 1/3 of 1% of the nation volunteer to act in our name are our sons and daughters and we pray for the comfort of them and their loved ones.

This is a tragedy no matter what the person's name is. I didn't ignore it, in fact, I struggle on Fridays writing about the good as I feel guilty and shameful for these tragedies and the tragedy in people's lives.
The local food shelf always needs donations of food and cleaning supplies, paper products. They need volunteers to pick up people and get them to and from the food shelf. Volunteers also can pick up donated large lots of goods and work in the "store".
Communication to the director as to what is needed will help so as to not have 40 cases of fruit cocktail and no cans of peas.
With Thanksgiving coming up in a couple of weeks, maybe some turkeys would help a dew families have something to be thankful for, you.
It's still a Good day for some. The people suffering the loss of loved ones from this shooting need our prayers for courage and for the grief to pass. Sometimes that's all we can offer, besides the request for Peace.
Thanks for the post.
