Do y’all remember the thrill of holidays when you were a child?
Last Easter, I “stalked” this little man with my camera while he was on his first Easter Egg hunt trying to capture the image of his excitement. Adorable, isn’t he? Don’t we wish we felt that same delight and excitement all the time?
Unfortunately, we grew up, didn’t we? It’s a little harder to get the cheap thrills.
With Easter around the corner, I have a “meme” to pass along. I don’t get as excited as this little boy when I pass along memes, because I’m always afraid that people will want to reach out and slap me. Not everybody likes them, and I don’t do them often. But Jamie asked me to do this for a good cause. You see, for every blogger who participates in the Hershey’s Better Basket Blog Hop a $10 donation is given to the Children’s Miracle Network. That’s worth doing, isn’t it? I mean, I can ensure that a donation is given to a worthy cause without spending a dime of my own money!

I’m supposed to give a “virtual Easter Basket” to the people I tag. I think that this is the one you are supposed to get, because it has Hershey’s candies in it.
But, I’m not all that excited about bunny baskets these days unless they have itty bitty bunnies in them.
So, I’m passing this basket along:
[Note: There was probably "chocolate" in the bottom, but it wasn't Hershey's. Although when my kids were small and followed the bunnies hopping around the house they mistook the ... ummm ... pellets for tiny chocolate eggs. They only made that mistake once.]
I’m tagging Cindee at CiNdEeS’ GaRdEn and JennyMcB at J’s Thoughts and Musings, because neither of them hit me very hard. But, don’t go feeling left out if you are dying to do this, because anybody can participate. Just go to the site to see the official rules.
Here are the Rules we are supposed to copy on our blogs:
* Copy and paste these rules to your blog post.
* Create a blog post giving a virtual Easter Basket to another blogger – you can give as many Virtual Baskets as you want.
* Link back to person who gave you an Easter Basket.
* Let each person you are giving a Virtual Easter Basket know you have given them a Basket.
* Leave your link at BetterBasket.info/BlogHop comment section. You can also find the official rules of this #betterbasket blog hop, and more information about Better Basket with Hershey’s there.
* Hershey’s is donating $10 per each blog participating to the Better Basket Blog Hop to Children’s Miracle Network (up to total of $5,000 by blog posts written by April 4th, 2010).
* Please note that only one blog post by each blog url will count towards the donation.
If you post for this meme, let me know in the comment section, and I’ll add you as a link on this post. I will now sit back and consider that I did a good deed. Thank you, Jamie, for giving me the opportunity.
