@shellyktucker

Welcome! Did you just drop in from my Twitter account? I’m sorry. I rarely use it these days. I jumped ship to Facebook, so join me there if you like.
I've got my eye on you.

Feel free to jump right in and read a post on This Eclectic Life … or you can read the following drivel as I try to tell you what this is all about.

Do you remember lazy days sitting on the front porch, spinning yarns with friends, and talking about everything under the sun? Then, kick off your shoes, grab a glass of sweet tea, and sit a spell with me. What are you going to find? Everything under the sun, and it’s always a surprise for both you and for me.

This place is full of homespun philosophy with a Texas twang, and even opportunities to be a “do-gooder.” If you like a good tale, well told, This Eclectic Life is the place to find it (at least it had better be, because in the “real world” I’m a professional storyteller).

I dish it up with humor, if I can. Favorites? I can tell you a few of my favorite attempts at being funny. You can read ‘em if you would like. :

  1. Sisterhood of The Grappling Pants
  2. Ask A Silly Question, Get A Silly Answer
  3. Wear Clean Underwear
  4. We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Waterboards
  5. A Ditty For Idiot Drivers
  6. The Teenage “Brain”

Thanks for dropping by my “house.” You are welcome to visit any time!

Hi Shelly,
Cleo passed one year ago tomorrow, and her wonderful friend Gina made Kase a book about her life and ….included were quite a few Blogs you made about her after your visit here to SC.
I wanted to say thank you for your kind light hearted words(Cleo would have appreciated that) and that you were so kind to bring awareness to the ALS walk in 2009.
Kase and I walked again in Cleo’s memory this year we raised a good bit to help continue the fight AND we won best team shirts and TEAM banner……we had damn crafts from one end of the house to the other …I could her Cleo laughing her butt off !
Our friend Mimi’s daughter had promised Cleo in 2009 that she would make her a banner this year for her team AND she did !! It was beautiful….sunflowers and all !……..Cleo’s birthday was backwards 5/13 instead of 5/31….I still feel that was Cleo playing a joke on ALL of us….anyhoo…I just wanted to say thank you Shelly and thank Eric for me too….your visit made Cleo smile…and your kind words today made me smile.
Cleo will be so missed by everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing her…..and please with your influence keep mentioning ALS to your readers …..Cleo would be proud that you will NEVER GIVE UP finding a cure either.
Come visit soon.
Love,
Patti Chamberlain(Kase’s other half)
