Hi Shelly,
Cleo passed one year ago tomorrow, and her wonderful friend Gina made Kase a book about her life and ….included were quite a few Blogs you made about her after your visit here to SC.
I wanted to say thank you for your kind light hearted words(Cleo would have appreciated that) and that you were so kind to bring awareness to the ALS walk in 2009.
Kase and I walked again in Cleo’s memory this year we raised a good bit to help continue the fight AND we won best team shirts and TEAM banner……we had damn crafts from one end of the house to the other …I could her Cleo laughing her butt off !
Our friend Mimi’s daughter had promised Cleo in 2009 that she would make her a banner this year for her team AND she did !! It was beautiful….sunflowers and all !……..Cleo’s birthday was backwards 5/13 instead of 5/31….I still feel that was Cleo playing a joke on ALL of us….anyhoo…I just wanted to say thank you Shelly and thank Eric for me too….your visit made Cleo smile…and your kind words today made me smile.
Cleo will be so missed by everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing her…..and please with your influence keep mentioning ALS to your readers …..Cleo would be proud that you will NEVER GIVE UP finding a cure either.
